Three former acquaintances receive curious communications from an old friend. The first, steeped in mystery and despair, is a direct communication to Detective Inspector Steven Chisholm.

The recording is crude and the acoustic forensic analysists determine that it must have been recorded in a large, subterranean room. There is cleary concern being registered in Mark’s voice.

Another of Dr. Bruknenko’s broadcasts interrupts a peaceful day at the park and Mark expresses his concerns to DI Chisholm regarding Jimmy’s trip to Alaska.

Local news reports on the Kincaid Observatory and the fire. A man is admitted to a psychiatric institute and has some curious ideas.
